This woven splint and silk brooch has matching earrings (1919.229.2AB). The brooch consists of three pinwheels of splint strips woven together with black and white filament and silk string. Two chains of woven reed "bells" hang from the central pinwheel. The brooch closes with a hinged pin and hook on the reverse.
