Gold ring with open-work shoulders decorated with an acanthus leaf design, center set with cabochon cut emerald.
This ring was one of several reportedly worn by the donor's aunt, Mrs. Elizabeth Oliva Lane Stevens, as a gift from her future husband Grenville Stevens before their marriage in 1843.
