Description

Miniature portrait of Mary Willis Duncan. Woman is looking off to the right and is wearing a black shawl with floral print. White lace fichu at neck is secured with an oval hair brooch. Sitter is also wearing a gold cross. Her curled, gray hair is covered by a white lace cap. The background is a muted gray/blue color. Oval gold metal frame with hanging loop and stand. Frame has a ribbed surface with four evenly spaced overlapping gold ribbon bands.
