This tortoiseshell necklace is composed of flat, pierced links with serrated edges forming a chain. The chain closes at the center back with an S-shaped clasp. An oval pendant with an inscribed plaque hangs from a central, flat tortoiseshell "o" ring. The plaque is decorated with an owl under an umbrella in relief and surrounded by a pierced scrollwork border.
