SAN FRANCISCO./ Mechanism in this watch is covered by/United States Patents and the watch is/ licensed and sold under and subject to the/ following conditions assented to by purchase/ and controlling all sales and uses thereof, any/violation of which license conditions revo-/kes and terminates all rights and license as/to this and all other watches of makers in/violator's possession and subjects the viola-/tor to suit for infringement of said letters/patent./ (1) Jobbers may sell only to retail dealers,/may not sell to any one designated by make-/ers as objectionable, may not detach or sell/without this notice and may sell only at rat-/es specified in schedules furnished by makers/ (2) Retailers may advertise and sell only/to buyers for use at ONE DOLLAR (bold)./ (3) No donation, discount, rebate, premium/or bonus may be allowed or given in connec-/tion with any sale at wholesale or retail./ (4) It will not be offered as a premium or/ bonus for or in connection with the sale of /other goods; or included in any combined sale./ (5) Guarantee with date of sale endorsed/ thereon to accompany each watch."

Interior of Box Lid: "CAUTION. (bold and underlined)/ DO NOT USE ANY OIL. / DO NOT DEFACE OR SCRATCH./ DO NOT TAKE APART./ DO NOT TAMPER WITH WATCH./ DO NOT WIND TOO TIGHT,/ but be sure to turn the stem in the/ right direction and wind watch fully/ one a day./ Treat your "INDERSOLL" as it/ should be treated, like a ten of hun-/dred dollar watch, and it will give/ you entire satisfaction./ Wind it regularly and fully (but/ not too tight.) Move regulator to-/wards F if it runs too slow and to-wards S if it runs too fast./ Do not neglect to put your name/on the package so that we may know/ from whom it comes."
Box bottom interior: "TO SET THE HANDS (underlined)/ Push the crown in/as far as possible/ and turn."
