Rose gold pocket watch with attached chain and ball clasp. Watch face has black Roman numerals under glass. Engraved pattern all over outside of watch with an engraving to the owner on the inside of the lid.

"Mementos: Jewelry of Life and Love from Historic New England": John W. White, a Classics professor at Harvard University, most likely believed that a fine gold watch from one of Boston's best jewelers was a suitable present for his daughter Edith before she headed off to Wellesley College.
