Pair of wall mirrors, vertically oval in shape, each having molded frame, bead-molding inner edge, and pierced foliate scrollwork cresting, center swags and ruffled shell detail; counterpart reduced pierced and carved base detail.

This bed is part of a bedroom suite that was made by Louis Cole (1910-1977) for his sister, Sara Cohen Fechtor (1904-1992). Mr. Cole made the furniture while he was working for the National Furniture Company in Dorchester, MA during the 1930-1940s. Mr. Cole eventually moved to Las Vegas to make gaming tables for the booming gambling industry. The bedroom suite was used by Sara Cohen Fechtor while she live in Boston and she took the furniture with her when she moved to California. When Sarah Cohen Fechtor died in 1992, her son, Sheldon Fechtor, had the furniture shipped back to Boston.
The National Furniture Company was founded in 1897 by H.J. Brown and L.I. Smith. The original location was 75-77 Leverett Street, Boston. The Company was located at the 612 Blue Hill Avenue, Dorchester address from 1936-1937. In 1938 the company moved to 40 Lancaster Street, Boston.
