Label

This piano stool was inherited by the donor in 2006. He believes that his brother purchased the stool in either Maine or New Hampshire around 1977. He thinks that his brother used the stool with either a cottage organ or piano. The wooden base has been refinished, but the top retains its original buttons and red velvet upholstery. Joshua Briggs manufactured piano chairs and stools in Peterborough, New Hampshire from the 1860s until the 1880s.
