Description

The architectual wall panelling into which the pictures #1991.1323.b,c were set. See file for drawing of panelling. Panelling was acquired with the landscape paintings. These were removed with their original molded enframements. The fireplace opening has a bolection molding. There are flanking members on each side consisting of four vertical panels of different sizes: 5 small rectangular panels above landscapes and a dentilled cornice. Evidence of dark paint was found on panel bevels and among several layers of later paint, the buff which was restored on moldings of the landscapes.
