Description

Shirred rug, rectangular form, patterned with a rectangular reserve enclosing two floral sprays and a basket of flowers within a leaf and flowerhead inner border and a "sharkstooth" outer border. Worked in shades of green, red, cream, peach and blue on a variegated brown ground. The foundation fabric is a patchwork of wool and linen fabrics.
