Wooden document box decorated with brass tacks which outline the box, arch at corners and surround the oval brass plates and handle on the lid. Has a wrought iron lock and brass keyhole cover with an impressed eagle, small metal hinges at the back; the wood originally covered with black leather (traces remain between the cracks).
