The picture depicts a harbor with numerous boats, clipper/sail/rowing; in the background are rolling green hills. In the immediate foreground are two onlookers, male and female, watching as the stevedores load cargo onto a rowboat to load on shipboard. A flag flies from a turret at the left with a cross at the upper left on a blue field.
