Oval pasteboard hat box covered with block printed classical wallpaper. It shows a Roman figure in a chariot pulled by a team of two griffins along a tree lined road, littered by overturned amphoras. In shades of pink, brown and green on a yellow ground. The lid has a related classical pattern of swags and flower festoons strung between balusters.
