Hand-woven linen tablecloth, of rectangular form, comprised of two off white pieces sewn together at the center. It is woven with a small diamond pattern overall. It has two salvage ends and two hand-hemmed ends bearing initials in golden-brown cross-stitch at one end.

Embroidered in the middle of one edge are the initials: O.H. A handwritten note pinned on the cloth read: In Kennebunkport,/About 1810 or so,/Olive Curtis and sisters/Charity and Eunice were/deprived by death of their ship/captain father and later/of their mother. The/three little girls were raised by the Shakers/(Alfred, Maine?). Olive/left to marry Jonathan/Hobbs, and her sister Charity/to marry a Dummer. So/O.H. was my mother's Grandmother.
