It has a cast base with a pierced wood handle on a "cove" molded circular frame, with spout-like extensions to one side that holds the two part iron. Each half of the iron has a circular center with a cast inscription on top. A four part waffle pattern is on the inner side on the cast stem and a black painted turned wooded handle. The two parts connect, swivel and separate with a hinge at the top.
