Description

18) Hot water plate. Shallow plate forming top with a deep hollow underside to receive hot water. Semi-circular spout on each side at the rim. Central design of four floral reserves with "precious symbols" bordering a central circular, diapered medallion in the Fitzhugh pattern. Nanking border. Set) White clay body with bluish-white glaze; Nanking style underglaze blue painted border design consisting of spearhead border with cross hatch or diagonal line banding; central or overall design of various versions of "Willow" pattern consisting of pagoda house at proper right (w/ or w/o people), trees in center, some with bridges, birds or boats.
