Label "Waiting for a Gallery": Mrs. Richard Derby purchased these two pieces of glass along with a number of other items for her brother-in-law in 1802. She then wrote home from London "I think everything is very reasonable but the glass..." and hoped once it had arrived she would not be "accused of extravagance."
