A paper tag attached reads: These brass stair rods were given to me by Aunt Mary Comming (?) from 364 Middle St at that time I thought of having some new rods made to copy the old ones but never did so. 11/15(?)/48 Horace Morison. The other side reads: I was return(ing) these to Cous. Ralph at the old house at 364 Middle St. 11/15/48 Horace Morison.
