Bodice - A; Skirt - B Light brown taffeta with brown taffeta trim at neckline, cuffs and peplum. High piped neckline. Piping at armscye. Full sleeves with rosettes at wrist. Boned darts and side seams. Princess seams. Bow at center back waist. Lined with cotton twill; sleeves lined with cambric. Ten covered buttons at center front. Skirt has draped panel with brown trim. Hem has deep section of box pleats from side seams at front. Box pleats and cartridge pleats at center back. Five ruffles draped at back. Large bow with silk fringe at left side. Pocket at right side. Slight train. Hem lined with cambric and bound with tan wool tape. N.R. says probably her wedding dress - totally remade. Tan fabric = 1866 original fabric. Remade with chocolate silk 1871-74
