Description

A=Bodice; B=Skirt. Dark brown velvet & medium brown taffeta w/ chenille & embroidered appliques. A=Bodice - standing band velvet collar w/ applique; inner ruffle of gauze edged w/ rick-rack; front bodice is velvet w/ middle panel of pleated & puffed taffeta w/ 3 vertical bands of applique. Front double row of hook & eye closure; boned & lined w/ brown cotton; pointed in front & at back. Long sleeves; 1 panel each of velvet & taffeta, separated by scalloped chenille applique; cuffs same as collar. B=Skirt - consists of taffeta underskirt w/ center vertical band of embroidery in climbing flower design; overskirt is dark brown velvet. Velvet open to reveal underskirt; lined w/ taffeta w/ applique at sides & hem; waist is edged w/ cream silk ribbon & brown silk tape. Cartridge pleats at center back; skirt has elastic straps & boned bars; hem lined w/ taffeta.
