Appliqued beadwork around lapels; hook and eye closure at center front; long sleeves trimmed with bands of velvet; velvet cuffs. Hook and eye at wrist; lined with taffeta; boned darts and seams; white grosgrain inner waistband. Slightly pointed front edged with velvet; small bow above point; small fishtail peplum. B=Skirt - overskirt of burgundy checkerboard satin; velvet underskirt revealing satin panel with appliqued beadwork; hook and eye closure center back above pleats; train. Lined with taffeta; two sets of ties to gather fullness in back; second lining of coarse black gauze attached at knee with attached ruffle of stiff white cotton embroidered in red.
