Discolored white 2/1 plain weave; starched; constructed of three pieces stitched together at center front waist; waistband cut from fabric on bias and folded similar to a tie with pointed ends; folds overlap in front and one hold with four small buttons and thread loops; lined with starched buckram; Second piece is rectangular in shape and centered vertically behind waistband; Third piece is a large rectangular folded lengthwise and attached horizontally at center along fold, then ends are folded back at a 45 degree angle so tails hang down from back, edges turned back and stitched.
