Catalog is bound with front and back covers of heavy dark brown paper embossed with rococo scrolls framing a gold quatrefoil shape containing the title. Catalog has a brown ribbon handle affixed to border. Catalog contains samples of coordinated groupings of ceiling, border, and sidewall wallpapers. Approximately fifty groupings are present. Back cover is missing.

From "Waiting for a Gallery" Entitled "ALFRED PEATS PRIZE WALLPAPER" this sample book contains 103 roller-printed wallpapers, borders, and ceiling papers. A promotional pamphlet published about the same time illustrates several of the patterns in this book and suggests the types of window and door draperies and lace curtains to use with each paper.
