A pair of tan cotton and sateen ankle boots. Shoes are bound with cream silk tape, trimmed with ilk fringe around ankle and a matching tassel on the vamp. Side lacing, round pointed toes, center front seams, and a small heel.

Walk Right In 11/98-3/99 This pair of women's boots is an early example of thick soles shaped for right and left feet. Their side laces and trim make them fashionable, while their directional soles and slightly thicker heel express a rare concession towards comfort. Rights and lefts did not become the norm for dressier women's shoes until later later in the century.
