Description

Green, black and white plaid silk taffeta; Bodice (A) - high neckline; self-piping at neck and armscye; bell shaped sleeves and peplum trimmed with two rows of green chenille passementerie; pointed at front and back; thirteen green silk covered buttons; boned; lined with brown cambric; Bodice (B) - evening - broad neckline trimmed with lace with black velvet ribbon, elastic band stitched around neck (replaces usual drawstring); V-shaped yoke trimmed with green, cream and black silk fringe; same green, white and black ribbon lattice panel at front as 1969.5526 C; capped sleeves with same fringe, and puffed band; pointed front and back; boned; laced closure at back with original green silk cord; lined with brown cambric; sleeves lined with white; Skirt (C) - disassembled; matching plaid; eight panels.
