Description

Lavender silk taffeta; Bodice (A) - broad neckline with pleated trim and black velvet ribbon; drawstring; capped sleeves with cream cambric, shirred, lavender ruching and net and lace with black velvet bow drawstring; boned; laced center front; lined with polished white cotton; Skirt (C) - matching skirt; bands of cream voile ruching trimmed with lace around skirt and purple bows applied along ruching; full skirt; fullness at back; with inner ties to hold fullness at back; slight train; white cambric pocket at right; lined with buckram. Overskirt (B) - purple satin; scalloped hem shorter in front; hem and seams trimmed with cream satin with scalloped edged lace, and 2 bands of purple ribbon woven with silver metallic threads, hook and eye; waist band trimmed with lace. Collar (D) - purple satin collar; pleated (3 pleats); trimmed with scalloped lace (same lace as overskirt) Belt (E) - lavender taffeta belt, 3 pleats; 2 bows; stiffened with cambric, 2 hooks and eyes; Belt (F) - black silk velvet waistband with hook and eye; large lavender taffeta bow with second bow of black velvet stiffened with voile.
