This wall pocket is woven from narrow ash splints in a checker plainweave pattern. The pyramid-shaped back narrows from the width of the basket in a regular stepped decrease and is topped with an ash splint-wrapped ring for suspension. This wall pocket is most likely of Native American manufacture for the tourist souvenir trade.
