Description

Porcelain ascos jug. Asymmetrical bulbous body with painted decoration, red and black fluted band around foot, black and white leaf-wrapped scroll handle with elaborate leaf and scroll decoration and cherub lower body. Rim has applied relief molded recumbent goats atop banded edge. Body painted in black and red on white with scene of three seated Greek/Egyptian figures and two birds. Under the handle, body is decorated in black with palmette pattern.
