GUSN-1596
Portion of a framing member with mortise in the center; one end there is a butt cog joist mortise with a portion of the joist still in place. By the central mortise there is a carpenter's mark "IIII." Piece has been sawn in half lengthwise and has been sawn straight across each end. ALC says this was probably saved for the gauge marks in the mortise (bit and boar).
