Interior photograph of the dormitory sitting room of Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilt and William Fitz-Hugh Whitehouse, Jr. at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. They graduated in 1899. Vanderbilt is seated on the right, and Whiterhouse is seated on the left. Vanderbilt died when a German U-boat sank the ocean liner RMS Lusitania on May 7, 1915.
