Description

The modern woolen mill constructed by Dr. Manning in Ipswich has long since burned to the ground, replaced by a shapeless Caldwell block. The school that honored him has been taken down, and the cabinet containing his momentos was thrown out. Even the Mannings themselves have left Ipswich. But Manning is someone who should be remembered for his inventiveness and intelligence. And, of course, his mill.
