Codman Connections : Portrait of a Family and Its Papers

Description

Over 16 months in 1978 and 1979, SPNEA collected arranged and described the Codman Family Manuscript Collection, which were made available to the society when it acquired the Codman House. In this article, Robert L. Howie, Jr., who was the archivist-consultant to SPNEA during this time, provides a geneological basis for the collection, what the collection contains and describes how these documents were organized.
