Description

Hawaiian decorated gourd water bottle, or ipu hue wai pawehe. The large, spherical bottom with elongated and narrow neck is typical of bottles used for households, The gourd is polished smooth and covered with panels of decorative zigzag patterns along its sides, with a hexagonal shape holding a central star at the bottom. There is a small opening at the top of the neck.
