Description

"ROBINSON CRUSOE/ astonished at the impression of a Foot in the SAND./ going towards my Boat, I was exceedingly surprised with the print of Man's naked Foot on the shore, which was very plain to be seen in the Sand." Robinson Crusoe dressed in animal skins looking at footprint; boat, trees and mountain in landscape. Engraving later hand-colored in shades of blue, green, brown; wood frame with applied gilt.
