Description

Side chair with carved kylix and garland splat. Descending from carving are five thin bars supported by a carved fan. Molded and tapered front legs and curved back legs. H-stretcher and between back legs. Upholstered in black horsehair over frame with brass tacking swagged along rail. Serpentine front. Splat based on Hepplewhite's 1788 design.
