Description

Painting entitled "Apollo and Muses on Mount Parnassus" at base on surround. Classical figures arranged before landscape. Painting concepts based largely on the ancient classical and Renaissance format of figures contained in a pyramid in the center of painting. The female figures are grouped symmetrically beneath and on either side of the Apollo. Apollo playing lyre.
