Description

A pastel portrait of Captain Stephen Phillips, it is a left profile, and he is wearing a black suit jacket. His high collared shirt is white, and has a small ruffle in front. His shoulder length hair is tied back with a dark ribbon. Frame is gold painted wood and plaster, with a scalloped inside border and beaded outer border. Gray pastel implies an oval mat around the portrait.
