Description

Japanned fancy chair, rectangular back curved slightly outward and subscribing an oval. Inside oval is a caned area which supports an oval panel w/ a painted Chinese scene. The caned seat has a slightly bowed rail, which connects at the front corners to tubular pieces extending from the upper back to the floor, forming the arms and front legs. All 4 legs turn out at feet. Straight H-stretchers. The chair is painted black and decorated w/ a grapevine design in gold.
