Description

Chair, Windsor form. Pine, grain painted. One of six painted (yellow) bow back Windsor side chairs decorated with a bamboo motif, with incised black bands. The legs, stretchers, and eight spindles are decorated in a similar fashion. The seat is pine, grain painted to imitate mahogany. Evidence of a yellow undercoating or previous paint is seen on the seat through wear in graining.
