Centennial Acquisitions Exhibiton, October 22nd-23rd, 30th-31st, 2010:
Alfred Langdon-Elwyn was the grandson of John Langdon who built the Langdon House. Trained as a physician in Philadelphia, he published "a handsome volume" of letters from Washington, Adams, and Jefferson to his grandfather. The artist, Robert Sully, was the nephew of artist Thomas Sully.
