Pierce-Arrow Limousine

Description

Limousine with enclosed body. Painted black with chrome trim and monogrammed "SWP" doors. there are four doors and one trunk. The driver's and passenger windows are made of early safety glass, which has discolored and frizzled. The chrome archer mascot in the center of the hood is missing his bow and arrow. There are two spare tires located on either side of the hood, just behind the fender mounted headlights (a Pierce-Arrow trademark). The front grill and front and rear bumpers are made of chrome. The framework of the car is constructed out of northern white ash and covered by nineteen gage steel panels. The limousine has a 12-cylinder engine and a 147 inch wheelbase. The 1603 series was redesigned to be more aerodynamic and modern looking. The interior of the limousine is separated into two sections by a window between the driver's and passenger section. The driver's seat is a single leather bench seat. The passenger compartment has a single bench seat across the rear of the car upholstered in gray broadcloth. There are two folding jump seats that fold into the back of the driver's seat when not in use. The interior upholstery has suffered extensive moth and rodent damage. The limousine has not been restored and the paint, leather and upholstery are original.
