Pierce-Arrow touring car

Description

Open touring car with folding leather roof. The body of the car is painted a dark blue with black fenders. There are four doors. The rear passenger doors are monogrammed "SWP." There are two metal storage compartments with latching lids mounted on the running board behind the fender mounted headlights. There is a metal bar mounted in front of the fenders and radiator that supports two cylinder shaped Westinghouse shocks. There is a brass circular hood ornament. The other side of the ornament is a thermometer. The front and rear bench seats have been covered in new leather. The folding jump seats and door upholstery still have the original leather covering. The touring car has a dual-valve six cylinder engine (serial # 339886, engine # 339903). The body of the car is constructed of 14 gauge aluminum panels over a northern white ash framework. The wheelbase is 138 inches. The folding roof has been replaced. There is a space tire mounted on the rear of the car. The left storage compartment on the running board contains the snap on cloth and plastic side hangings.
