Description

Child-sized blue transfer-printed pearlware small tureen with scene of a man and a kite with buildings in background and foliate border around rim with wide scroll handles. Lid contains scene of two children playing, one with a kite, and the other with a hoop, man and dog in front of a tombstone, brick wall and buildings in background, surrounded by a foliate border but center of scene obscured by molded scroll-shaped knop and notch for ladle. Part of thirty-six piece dinner set.
