Description

Oil painting done in impasto of a winter scene of a thickly settled wood. The snow is enhanced with many colors dominated by blue. There are two hills intersecting diagonally from the horizon line, which is hidden by pine trees. The focus point is a birch tree without any foliage and a broken bottom branch. Wood frame in gold paint with carved decoration in each corner of the outer edge of the frame. A geometric pattern carved in low relief along the sight edge of the frame.
