Peter Harrison designed the Brick Market in Newport, Rhode Island. The building was completed in 1762 and was originally operated as an open-air market with merchants and offices on the upper floors. The store of Daniel E. Sullivan, which occupies the lower floor of the market, has a large array of products for sale, including leather goods, hardware, kitchenware, postcards, watches, and trunks.
