Benjamin Woodbridge / (was was settled in Bristol R.I. and Kittery Me) / who married mary Ward and the grand /.son of Rev. John Woodbridge who married / Mercy Dudley dau of Gov. Thomas Dudley. / He was a brother of Benjamin Woodbridge / of Salem and the Rev Samuel of Conn. / Dudley Woodbridge went to Eng. as a young / man and became wealthy. Lived in / Barbados some years as Director of the Assicento / Co. and returned to Eng in 1718 and died 1720. / It was his son who was killed on Boston Common / in a duel - This is a fine mezzotint by / Smith a fine engraver. / Bot of Maggs, Lond, TXX Mar 1921 / Stephen W.
