This series consists of the papers of Avery Williams Marrett (1819-1894), son of Daniel and Dorcas Marrett, including correspondence, deeds, and papers related to the centennial of the "Old Homestead" (the Marrett house). Included with the centennial materials are four hand-painted souvenirs of the event, each with a verse inscribed on it; these items were brought from the Marrett house and added to the collection in November, 1993, by Richard Nylander (three had already been part of the collection).
