Description

Ovoid form porcelain teapot with lid. Imari design. Cobalt blue, orange and gilt design of leaves, tendrils, abstract motifs, and stylized flowers on white background in three reserves separated by gilt leaf sprays and pendant flowers on cobalt blue background in a broad central band outlined in gilt. White foot banded with gilt. Shoulder has gilt leaf band on white background. Gilt on outside of S-scroll handle with gilt thumb rest. Gilt spout has oval medallion with white background and stylized gilt flower on front. Molded gilt feather design on top of spout. Lid with similar design of two reserves. White oval medallion topped by faceted gilt knop.
