Description

Large fragment of scenic figure, Reproduction of "House Fair" painting by French painter Rosa Bonheur (1822-1899), who did original artwork on which paper is based. Three vignettes showing scenes from fair. Central, rectilinear-shaped vignette depicts riders and horses preparing for country-style race. Two smaller scenes show man sitting with two plough horses in first scene, man and woman with two horses at well in second scene. Each vignette is separated by bead and reel frames. Printed in three browns, two greys, two greens, two blues, orange, yellow, black and white on grey ground.
