Description

Full panel removed from a fireboard. Still life of fruit, caterpillar, bird and lizard on top of a marble pedestal with a "carved" classical scene of two women dancing before a sacrificial bull. Still life includes: peaches, apples, canteloupe, artichokes, pears, grapes, basket and wine flask. Classical scene includes: bull, basket of flowers, musical pipes, amphora and cauldron. Printed in two blues, four greens, orange, two peaches, rose, pink, lavender, red, tan, olive, two browns, black, grey and white on a dark, charcoal grey ground.
